Mrs. Amy Cobb, Head Principal

I am very excited to be serving you and your family as the Principal at Greenbrook Elementary School! I look forward to a great year working with you to help our students be successful and reach their full potential. I have a passion for finding what works best to help our students develop a love for learning, and I love watching them grow academically as they mature and grow into young adults.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Delta State University and my Master's Degree from Arkansas State University. I have worked with DeSoto County Schools since 1999. During that time, I taught English/Language Arts at Hope Sullivan Elementary and Greenbrook Elementary, and AP and General Ed. Art at Southaven High School. Recently, I have been serving as Assistant Principal at Walls Elementary.

My husband, Jay, and I live in Eudora with our 2 boys, David and Brayden, and our 2 dogs, Buster and Frost.

My name is Suzanna Maddox and this is my tenth year as Assistant Principal and 19th year in education. I taught at Byhalia Middle School for three years and taught English at Horn Lake High School for six years. I have been an assistant principal at Shadow Oaks Elementary, Horn Lake Intermediate, and Southaven Elementary. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis and my master's degree from Arkansas State University. In 2007, I was chosen to be a Freedom Writer teacher; I was one of 150 teachers from across the United States and the only teacher from the state of Mississippi. In 2008, this group wrote a book, Teaching Hope, which was published in 2009. Today, this group of teachers and educators has grown to more than 500 and has spread internationally.

My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have 2 daughters. Shelby will be a sophomore at Hannibal-LaGrange University, where she will be playing basketball, and Samantha will be in the 9th grade and will play volleyball and basketball. I am a member of Grace Cumberland Presbyterian Church and I also teach Elementary Sunday school and children's church.

I am excited to be at Greenbrook Elementary and look forward every day to being a Charger.
